Let’s be honest: Black Friday shopping is a nightmare. The lines, the crowds, the waking up at 3 a.m. so you can be the first one through the doors. More often than not, the stuff just isn’t worth it.
However, we might have just found a deal that is.
This year, Cabela’s is giving away “mystery envelopes” with freebies for a variety of outdoor products, gift cards, and, yes, firearms to the first 600 customers in line that are 18-years or older
Gifts will be entirely random and vary from store to store. Company officials say they could include a Ruger LC9 Pistol, Browning BPS Hunter Pump-Action Shotgun, Badlands Release Day Pack or a Masterbuilt Sportsman Elite 30? Window Smoker.
“All gifts will be distributed randomly and could include outdoor products, firearms, Cabela’s gift cards and much more,” the company said in a news release. “Firearm winners will be required to complete and pass a standard federal background check to take ownership of the firearm.”
In addition to giveaways, many locations are planning some “pre-Black Friday Fun,” including activities and food while you wait. All stores open at 5 a.m.
Cabela’s also put together this handy infographic to help you prepare, including “how to put those Thanksgiving leftovers to good use, how to best stay hydrated, what gear to bring and how to keep your electronics charged.”
If you’re still not up for camping out the night of Thanksgiving, Cabela’s is offering pre-Black Friday sales that ends Wednesday, November 22, as well as a Thanksgiving Day sale from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Be sure to check out your store for more details.
