Here we have Miller, a figure who has been known to rally against perceived authoritarianism with chants of “no kings,” gracefully engaging in the very royalist ceremony of boot-licking. The irony seems utterly lost on her. It paints a vivid picture of a movement that claims to reject hierarchy while simultaneously genuflecting to their selected idols of the moment.
What’s truly astonishing is that the subject of this adoration, Jasmine Crockett, doesn’t exactly have the resume of a political powerhouse. In any fair system of meritocracy, she’d have qualifications that exceed those typically required for a managerial role at a fast-food joint. Crockett holds a law degree, worked as a prosecutor, served as a Texas State Representative, and currently serves in the U.S. House of Representatives. Yet, here she stands, buoyed by a movement obsessed with amplifying mediocrity as long as it fits their narrative and identity checklist.
As humorous as this spectacle may be, it reveals deeper societal concerns. The public ritual of demeaning one’s self in honor of perceived ideological idols takes away from the fundamental American principle that no individual should bow before another, save for their Creator. Such actions mirror historical examples of tyranny, however veiled in the guise of “progress.”
This act, then, is not just an isolated incident but a symptom of a broader ideological affliction—a mindset that promotes counterfeit worship under the guise of progress and equality. All the while, they point fingers at those with opposing views, labeling them cult-like. It’s time for Americans to take a step back and recognize the absurdity in these spectacles. At the end of the day, true leadership and respect cannot be manufactured through stunts, no matter how public or dramatic they may be.
