Megyn Kelly didn’t hold back in her criticism of George Clooney after a new book revealed his expletive-filled meltdown over MSNBC’s coverage of his Biden op-ed. According to Chris Whipple’s Uncharted: How Trump Beat Biden, Harris and the Odds in the Wildest Campaign in History, Clooney erupted at an MSNBC producer when Morning Joe host Mika Brzezinski suggested Barack Obama might’ve influenced his New York Times piece urging Biden to drop out of the 2024 race. Kelly mocked Clooney’s thin skin, saying his outrage exposed Hollywood elitism and hypocrisy.
The actor allegedly screamed, “How the fing movie,” Clooney shot back with “Fing gone”.
Kelly called the incident proof of Clooney’s “Hollywood entitlement,” noting he’s “lecturing Americans about journalism on Broadway” while throwing tantrums over cable news. She argued his reaction revealed insecurity about being seen as Obama’s “puppet” rather than a bold truth-teller: “As a man, you’d feel totally emasculated… it shows how thin-skinned this A-lister is”. She also blasted Clooney for naively trusting media figures, quipping, “That was your first mistake—you shouldn’t trust cable news producers”.
This isn’t Kelly’s first clash with Clooney. She previously mocked his self-righteous op-ed timing—waiting nearly a month after Biden’s disastrous fundraiser to speak up—and accused him of revising history to cast himself as a hero. “He’s such a liar,” Kelly said, pointing out he only wrote the piece once Biden’s collapse became unavoidable.
