America’s power grid is on the brink of collapse, threatening our national security and ability to compete with China. With 70% of transmission lines older than 25 years and frequent outages costing billions, this crumbling relic of the New Deal era can’t support America’s AI ambitions or basic energy needs. China’s building nuclear plants at warp speed while we’re stuck debating green fantasies – it’s time for real solutions.
Data centers alone will need – equivalent to powering every home in Texas. By 2030, demand jumps to as electric vehicles and smart technologies explode. Our current infrastructure delivers only 3% of needed capacity upgrades. Without immediate action, blackouts and cyberattacks will paralyze industries.
Solar and wind can’t provide 24/7 baseline power. China knows this – they’ve added 37 reactors since 2016 while Biden’s regulators smother new projects. Deregulating nuclear permits and fast-tracking plant construction could meet 2027 targets. Trump-era policies proved we can slash red tape; we need that urgency NOW.
Billions wasted on intermittent renewables instead of hardening infrastructure. “Smart grid” experiments caused rate hikes without improving reliability. Meanwhile, Beijing builds coal plants AND next-gen reactors – they’ll own the future while we freeze in the dark.
1. – let states bypass federal permitting logjams
2. – deploy them at military bases/data centers
3. – environmental reviews take longer than WWII
Patriots didn’t win the Cold War by waiting for perfect solutions. We need leadership that prioritizes American energy dominance over climate cultism. The clock’s ticking – and our enemies aren’t slowing down.
