Once upon a time in the land of self-righteous hypocrisy, a Milwaukee judge was yanked from her courtroom for performing the oh-so-noble feat of obstruction of justice. Her offense? Trying to thwart ICE agents from apprehending a criminal illegal alien. You know, just another day in the life of those who fancy themselves as modern-day Robin Hoods. Of course, the mainstream media, in a delightful chorus of alarmism, dubbed it an “escalation.” Apparently, enforcing the law is an escalation these days. Who knew?
Here we have a saga where judges are deemed untouchable, brandishing their gavels like magical wands to make laws disappear. Yet, when laws aren’t being twisted or ignored for political gains, the people pulling these strings scream louder than a banshee about kings and castles, as if every ICE agent is secretly a knight straight out of Arthurian legend. In fairy-tale fashion, the drama unfolded in a courthouse as the man was escorted out via the jury door, proving that justice is best served with a side of fries.
Our favorite talking heads can’t push their agendas fast enough. When the judge entered the realm of consequences, the call to arms rung out. Apparently, the golden rule for some is that no one should be above the law, except – systematically and strategically – their allies and buddies. It’s astonishing how protesting the deportation of criminals has become a cause célèbre but enduring a casual arrest for lawbreaking is a human rights crisis. Grab your pearls and clutch them tight!
And, of course, stepping into this whirlwind is Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers, who criticized the federal actions but did not issue memos encouraging state employees to challenge federal agents. Instead of aiding law enforcement, it’s all about obstructing due process in the name of… democracy? Sovereignty? Somebody should buy this man a dictionary.
Meanwhile, the media collectively hyperventilates over their new buzzword, “escalation,” calling anyone who supports the law fascist gentry. Meanwhile, they conveniently overlook the misdeeds of their ideological comrades, like pretending watching ICE in action is the equivalent of a summer blockbuster instead of legal enforcement. It’s all a tragicomedy – if it weren’t so infuriatingly hypocritical, it might even be funny.
