CNN Doubles Down on Anti-White Narrative

On a certain popular news network, rather than promoting unity and dialogue, some figures choose the low road, peddling harmful stereotypes and pushing divisive agendas. A recent segment highlighted comments that were, frankly, shocking for their lack of historical awareness and their blatantly anti-white rhetoric. The so-called “discussion” centered on the Afrikaner community in South Africa, a group descended from Dutch, French Huguenot, and German settlers who have lived in the region for centuries. Yet, the commentator saw fit to suggest these individuals should essentially pack their bags and leave, as if they’re nothing more than unwanted tourists.

The suggestion that Afrikaners should return to a vague “native land” in Germany is not only historically inaccurate but also speaks to a worrying trend in the discourse propagated by some leftist outlets. There’s a glaring double standard when it comes to immigration. For some, open borders are a moral imperative when it suits their narrative, yet when discussing people who are inconvenient to their ideological framework, the hospitality switches off faster than a light bulb.

What these simplified narratives miss is the deep-rooted connection that many Afrikaners have to the land. Their history in Africa is complex and intertwined with the continent in ways that are incomprehensible to those who spout off from their insular echo chambers. Yet, rather than acknowledging this intertwined history, the narrative pushes a reductive “go back to where you came from” storyline. Ironically, this rhetoric mirrors the very xenophobia the left often decries when applied to their allies.

Responding to this narrative today means embracing historical truths and rejecting such a blatant rewriting of facts. It means standing firm in acknowledging the rights of all people to exist in their homes. But conservatives know that logic and historical accuracy frequently get tossed aside in favor of inflammatory rhetoric when the opportunity to chastise the West is too tempting to pass up.

It is this joke of a double standard that underlines much of the discourse we see today, where demanding fairness and context is too much effort when virtue signaling is easier. The left often leverages their selective narratives to define what is acceptable, yet they refuse to listen when contradictions are pointed out. It’s almost as if they don’t realize how transparent this game has become, or maybe, more likely, they just don’t care.
