A shocking attack on our law enforcement happened on July 4th at the Prairieland Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas. Armed criminals ambushed police officers in a brutal assault. This was a direct attack on the brave men and women protecting our borders.
The thugs fired 20 to 30 rounds at our officers. One Alvarado police hero was shot in the neck during this cowardly ambush. Thankfully, this brave officer is expected to recover from his injuries.
Eleven suspects have been arrested so far for this violent crime. They come from cities across Texas including Fort Worth, Dallas, and College Station. These criminals were dressed in military gear and body armor during their attack.
The FBI is hunting one last suspect named Benjamin Hanil Song. He’s a former Marine reservist who joined the others in this disgusting assault. Song is considered armed and extremely dangerous to the public.
Our great Governor Greg Abbott has offered a $10,000 reward to catch Song. The FBI adds another $25,000 reward for information leading to his capture. These patriots are working hard to bring this fugitive to justice.
All suspects face attempted murder charges for shooting at federal officers. If convicted, they could spend 10 years to life in prison. One was even charged with trying to destroy evidence.
These traitors came from across Texas to attack our law enforcement. They showed pure hatred for America by attacking on Independence Day. This coordinated assault threatens every Texan’s safety.
We must support our police and border agents who stand on the front lines. Governor Abbott is right that Texas remains a law-and-order state. Patriots won’t tolerate attacks on those protecting our communities.
