Trump Official Blasts Dems’ Hypocrisy on Redistricting Complaints

When it comes to gerrymandering, it seems like there’s a new twist to the tale every election cycle. Democrats, who have perfected this game in states like California and New York, appear to be quite comfortable using the term “fair play” to mean something entirely different. Lo and behold, when Texas decides to follow their lead, suddenly it’s an earth-shattering scandal. It’s kind of like watching a poker player complain because he finally got dealt a losing hand. The difference is, while Democrats gerrymander with the dexterity of an origami master, they act blindsided when caught with cards up their sleeves.

Just look at the way things panned out in some major blue states during the last election cycle. Republicans mustered nearly 40% of the vote in California and New York, yet ended up with only about 20% representation. It’s the equivalent of being served a steak dinner—with just a fork. House Republicans had a mind-bendingly three times larger victory margin in the popular vote for 2024 compared to 2010 but ended up with a fraction of the seats won back then. It’s an arithmetic script only a party dedicated to creative counting could produce.

Then there’s the little-noted episode of the 2020 Census. It’s like that peculiar guy in the corner, quietly cooking the books while everyone is distracted by the show. Democrats fought tooth and nail, won legal suits, and lo and behold, ensured the headcount included those not exactly sitting legal in Uncle Sam’s house. Some argue, not without a dollop of irony, that this added extra chairs at the table when it came to representation in Congress. By some estimates, the seats hanging on this inclusion could fill an entire auditorium. Texas, however, knows how to play catch-up, aiming to correct what many argue is a gross imbalance, not unlike trying to drain an overflowing bathtub while more water keeps pouring in.

Beyond the grand spectacle of democracy-in-action—or manipulation, depending on which side of the aisle one stands—lies the somewhat more sober economic front. President Trump seemed like a breath of fresh air (or a blunt-force gale) to an economy gasping for oxygen. The Democrats had been nursing the economy with their brand of suffocating care, with inflation and a lack of innovation being as common as campaign promises. Trump stepped in with outrageous vigor, offering a sweeping tax cut—let’s dub it “unbelievable” for effect—and a pro-energy stance that makes the notion of energy independence sound like a catchy campaign slogan.

With $17 trillion earmarked for investment in manufacturing, thanks to initiatives like bonus depreciation, it’s safe to say America’s economy is set for a wild ride. Whether it be semiconductors or pharmaceuticals, there’s an air of economic optimism bustling in the Republican camp. It might just be the golden age for their vision of America, where energy dominance and untamed growth rule the day, akin to a rollercoaster ride engineered by the audacious creativity of its former president. Businesses are poised to accelerate their investment, creating jobs and opportunity like a hyper drive straight into prosperity. Hold on tight—it’s bound to be a thrilling journey.
