The mainstream media showed their true colors once again with their coverage of Charlotte. While thousands of left-wing protesters flooded the streets demanding more government handouts, the press was right there with cameras rolling. But when it comes to real crime affecting hardworking families, these same reporters suddenly go blind.
The April protest against President Trump drew massive media attention as activists whined about cuts to bloated federal programs. One speaker even cried about possible Medicaid changes while surrounded by reporters eager to broadcast her sob story. The media ate it up like candy, giving wall-to-wall coverage to every complaint about government spending cuts.
Then came the June protests where radical groups organized “No Kings” demonstrations across Charlotte. The media couldn’t get enough of covering these anti-Trump rallies that attacked our president and supported illegal immigration. They treated these agitators like heroes fighting for democracy instead of what they really were.
But here’s what the media won’t tell you about Charlotte. While they’re busy covering every liberal protest and giving airtime to government dependents, they ignore the real crimes plaguing our communities. Gang violence, drug trafficking, and attacks on innocent Americans don’t fit their narrative.
The bias is so obvious it’s insulting to thinking Americans. When leftists march against immigration enforcement, it’s front page news. When criminals prey on law-abiding citizens, you hear crickets from the mainstream press.
This selective reporting isn’t journalism, it’s propaganda. The media decides which stories serve their political agenda and which ones threaten it. Crime stories that might support tougher law enforcement or conservative policies get buried.
Our president is trying to restore law and order, but the media fights him every step of the way. They’d rather cover crying protesters than highlight the success of strong immigration enforcement and crime crackdowns. It’s all about protecting their liberal friends in power.
Americans deserve the truth about what’s really happening in our cities. We need media that reports all the news, not just the stories that help Democrats win elections. Until that happens, we’ll keep seeing this shameful double standard in places like Charlotte and across our great nation.
