York Regional Police Chief Jim MacSween actually advised homeowners to comply with violent criminals who break into their homes. This is what happens when liberal politics take over law enforcement.

MacSween’s shocking advice came right after a father of four was murdered in his own home. Abdul Aleem Farooqi was gunned down in front of his family after he tried to protect them from intruders. Instead of praising this brave father, the police chief told others not to fight back.

The police chief said citizens should hide, flee, or lock themselves in rooms when criminals invade their homes. He called compliance the best defense against violent thugs. This is the kind of weak thinking that has destroyed once-great nations.

Hollywood conservatives and American patriots immediately blasted these cowardly comments. They understand what Canadian leaders have forgotten. Every person has the God-given right to defend their family and property from criminals.

Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre at least had the backbone to speak up for Canadian families. He demanded changes to the law so people can use deadly force against home invaders. But liberal politicians quickly attacked him for promoting common sense.

The liberal justice minister called Poilievre’s idea chaos and fear. He said Canada is not the Wild West. These weak politicians would rather see innocent families murdered than let them fight back against criminals.

This is exactly why Americans must never give up their Second Amendment rights. When police tell you to comply with criminals, you know your country is in serious trouble. Canadian families deserve better than politicians who side with thugs over victims.

MacSween later tried to walk back his comments after the backlash. But his first instinct was to protect criminals instead of families. This shows how far Canada has fallen under liberal rule.
