Stephen Colbert finally got what was coming to him. The arrogant late-night host lost his CBS show after years of losing millions for the network. Now he and his Democrat friends are crying that it was all Trump’s fault.
Dave Portnoy from Barstool Sports told the truth that liberal media won’t admit. Colbert’s show lost a whopping 40 million dollars last year alone. When you bite the hand that feeds you and lose that much money, you get fired.
The whole mess started when Colbert attacked his own bosses at CBS. He called a 16 million dollar lawsuit settlement a “big fat bribe” right on his own show. That takes some real nerve to trash your employer while they’re already losing money on you.
But here come the usual suspects crying about censorship. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren are screaming that this is all political. Senator Chris Murphy even claimed Trump is using government powers to silence critics.
What a joke. This has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with basic business sense. No smart company keeps paying someone who loses them millions while also disrespecting them on national TV.
Portnoy nailed it when he said any boss would fire an employee who acted like Colbert. The guy was ungrateful and arrogant while his ratings tanked. CBS finally did what any real business would do.
Late night TV is dying because Americans are sick of these liberal hosts lecturing them every night. People would rather watch podcasts than listen to Colbert whine about conservatives for an hour.
This is capitalism working exactly like it should. Lose money, disrespect your boss, and find a new job. No amount of Democrat crying will change these simple facts of business life.
