In today’s world, it seems like common sense has taken a backseat to radical ideas, especially in places like Quebec, where they are now bending over backwards to redefine what it means to be a family. Recently, three men officially became parents after a lengthy wait. While every child deserves a loving home, it’s high time we question the sanity of some of these modern family arrangements that progressives seem to celebrate.
The trio adopted a three-year-old through Quebec’s youth protection services, and it wasn’t an easy road. They had to become foster parents first, requiring what they call “a lot of work and openness to their relationship.” It appears simply being a secure, nurturing, two-parent household isn’t enough anymore. Now, aspiring parents need to pass the social engineering test by showcasing their willingness to embrace even the most unconventional family structures.
What these three men say sets them apart is also what they claim makes them the same as any other family. It’s an interesting double-speak we often hear from those pushing progressive agendas: be different by being the same. In reality, what they aim for is a world where traditional family values are overshadowed by a relentless drive for redefining every aspect of family life to suit modern whims.
Further complicating the issue is a recent ruling by a Quebec Superior Court judge who deemed the limitation of two recognized parents unconstitutional. This court decision pressures the government to change the civil code, arguing it’s discriminatory to not recognize more than two parents. This line of thought, which likens nature to an oppressive force, suggests it’s almost a crime not to bend societal structures just to accommodate nontraditional models.
The boldness of this ruling speaks volumes. The court believes that to uphold a classical family structure is to discriminate against diverse family models, as if stability and tradition are now dirty words. One can’t help but wonder: does nature itself carry a mark of being unconstitutional now? After all, biology has clearly set its rules long before any court decided it was unfair. These legal battles only highlight the growing divide between common sense and convenient interpretations of freedom, pushing society further away from the values that have sustained it.
