Biden’s Policies Invite New Enemies into America

In a shocking and tragic turn of events, the families of two U.S. National Guard members found themselves facing a nightmare right before Thanksgiving. Instead of enjoying turkey and stuffing with loved ones, 24-year-old Andrew Wolff and 20-year-old Sara Beckstrom lay in hospital beds following a brutal ambush in Washington, D.C. Sara Beckstrom tragically lost her life due to the attack, while Andrew Wolff is clinging to life in critical condition after being shot multiple times. This episode highlights serious concerns about security and vetting processes for those entering the country.

The suspect in this heinous act is 29-year-old Rahmanullah Luckenwalde, an Afghan national described as a father of five. It is reported that he lived a life more devoted to video games and welfare than to meaningful contributions to society. Luckenwalde allegedly worked alongside U.S. forces during the deployment in Kandahar. Yet, a mere month after the chaotic withdrawal of American troops in 2021, he found himself welcomed into the United States under what many are now calling President Biden’s “Operation Allies Welcome”—a program designed to give refuge to those who assisted U.S. forces in Afghanistan. However, this case raises critical questions about who was truly vetted and allowed into the country.

The fallout from the Biden administration’s handling of the Afghan withdrawal continues to resonate. CIA Director John Ratcliffe pointedly noted that individuals like Luckenwalde should never have been granted entry into the U.S. This sentiment echoes the frustration of many Americans who believe that national security should have been the top priority. It serves as a reminder that, during such transitions, the safety of citizens must not take a backseat to goodwill gestures.

Eyewitnesses have reported that during the ambush, Luckenwalde shouted “Allah Akbar,” a common phrase in Arabic, often meaning “God is great.” This adds another layer of complexity to the situation, raising questions about the motivations behind the attack. While Islam is one of the fastest-growing religions in the United States, incidents like this lead many to wonder how well we understand the influences and sentiments in our society.

As families prepare for the upcoming holidays, they do so with a somber reminder of the potential dangers posed by those who do not have the best interests of America at heart. The circumstances surrounding the ambush serve as a wake-up call for those in power, illustrating the dire necessity for a reassessment of immigration policies. It is vital that America learns from its mistakes to ensure that security and safety for citizens come first, and that our country remains a haven for those who truly seek freedom and opportunity.
