It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that no one benefits from this circus, yet the show goes on.
On a more grounded level, the President reminds everyone of the real mission of ICE: to focus on removing violent illegal aliens, wherever they are. From Los Angeles to Chicago and on to Minneapolis, the work continues despite the noisy distractions. Yes, there’s a mess to clean up, thanks to leaders who seem to have forgotten the meaning of law and order. Nevertheless, the administration appears poised to bring sanity back into the discussion and perhaps the streets.
For those who love a good cloak and dagger tale, there have been reports about ICE facing challenges with protesters tracking their movements. It appears there’s an app for everything these days, even ones that keep tabs on law enforcement. Despite the innovative resistance, ICE has still managed to detain over 1,000 people in recent weeks. It might be hard work, but doing the right thing usually is. As the President hinted, it may be time to switch things up in Minneapolis, remove the ICE agents for a bit, and focus more on the financial fraud cases plaguing the state. With a bit of strategy, perhaps this chaos can finally be tamed.
