Ex-Navy SEAL Urges Bold Strike on Iran’s Infrastructure

The swirling tensions over the Strait of Hormuz are like a plot from a post-apocalyptic thriller—minus the zombies, but with real-world stakes. Despite having their navy knocked off its pedestal and their air force a ghost of what it once was, Iran still manages to hold sway over this waterway, which makes one scratch their head in bewilderment. Retired Navy Seal officer Mike Cerelli suggests it’s part of Iran’s master plan—or at least the remnants of one—to keep themselves in the game long enough to eke out a win in the survival stakes.

Cerelli provides an honest assessment, insisting on further strikes to remind Iran, or whatever semblance is left of their leadership, about who wears the proverbial trousers in this geopolitical face-off. After all, trying to negotiate with a group of leaders who can’t decide if they’re sticking with dinner or having dessert is futile. Perhaps a few tactical nudges will bring a more moderate voice to the table, one that isn’t completely tone-deaf to the plight of their own people. After all, it’s not the Iranian regime that the world wants to survive, but the Iranian people.

Meanwhile, back on the home front, President Trump and Senator Dave McCormack are playing a tango on a tightrope, leaving the option for resumed airstrikes hanging as a tantalizing threat. The goal is ensuring that enriched uranium gets no further than a pile of rocks and that Hormuz remains as open as a dollar store during a holiday sale. Though, admittedly, wreaking havoc on a nation’s infrastructure might make one worry if we’re nailing jelly to a wall. The hope, perhaps, is to inspire a rise from within Iran itself—assuming folks without power or water can do much more than find long-lasting batteries.

Some argue it’s time to bring the pain to Iran, with the hope they’ll come crawling to the negotiation table faster than a cat towards an open can of tuna. KT McFarland opines that reaching a tipping point of acute discomfort might incentivize someone in the ever-vanishing ranks of Iranian leadership to declare enough is enough. It only takes one to embrace sanity and propose a deal—ideally one that doesn’t involve continuing glorification as a “nation of martyrs.”

The military calculus and diplomatic brinkmanship seem to speak a language where tough love equates to fresh strikes. Cerelli and like-minded patriots underline this is a conflict between light and dark, emphasizing the need for steadfast support from the home front to navigate the turbulent waters that have vexed generations. History, or an informed take on it, suggests the 60-day clock is more of a guideline than a hard stop, notably when something as metaphorically sticky as a 47-year-old dilemma is on the line. As the saga continues, it’s clear there’s more unveiling ahead—strikes, diplomacy, and hopefully, a bit of favorable history writing.
