Fauci’s Diary Exposed: Revelations Worse Than We Ever Knew

In the world of politics, few names have been discussed as much as Dr. Anthony Fauci, and recent revelations from his personal diary seem to add another layer to the already complicated narrative. While much of the nation was gripped by lockdowns and restrictions, it turns out our favorite expert on infectious diseases was busy dining with media personalities, with a lobster dinner at Jake Tapper’s house to boot! Meanwhile, everyday Americans were forced to endure closed businesses and masked faces, stuck in a world of uncertainty.

A dive into Fauci’s archives reveals some eyebrow-raising observations. Take an entry from July 2020, for instance, where he recalls a snarky exchange with Tapper about Laura Ingraham’s academic pedigree. The two friends, clearly enjoying their high society banter, seemed more focused on poking fun at their rivals than on the very real challenges facing the country at the time. One can only imagine the irony of these media stars sipping anise-flavored drinks while the rest of us were stressing over bills and navigating the unknown waters of pandemic life.

As Fauci ambitiously recorded various pandemic milestones, his entries take a curious turn. The doctor notably starts off one diary entry by announcing the daily count of COVID-19 infections, almost as if he wanted to remind readers of the doom and gloom while tooting his own horn about public support. He described himself as “the most credible scientist in the world,” prompting one to question what qualifies as “credible” if it includes self-aggrandizement in personal notes. It might just be too much of a stretch to elevate one person’s opinion on public health to the lofty heights of worship.

The cringe factor skyrockets when one considers how Fauci openly fretted over offending prominent Democrats, like Joe Kennedy. In diary entries, he records not just conversations but his desperate need for approval, going out of his way to smooth things over with Kennedy following a frustrating exchange at a hearing. Yet, curiously, it seems he only pursued conciliatory chats with Democratic leaders, never with those across the aisle. This glaring bias leaves one wondering: where was this supposed objectivity when it came to public policy?

Also troubling is a specific entry from March 20, where he recounts conversations that influenced the closures of schools in New York City and California. For someone who has vehemently claimed he had no role in school shutdowns, this contradiction raises serious questions. Millions of students were pushed into remote learning, with many lacking the necessary tools, and countless businesses – especially restaurants – shuttered for good during the closures. Yet, Fauci seemed more invested in socializing and writing about relationships with media icons than addressing the catastrophic fallout of his own recommendations.

In lighter moments, the diary also reveals Fauci’s somewhat bizarre desire for admiration, as shown by his description of receiving compliments on social media about his looks – even claiming he was “sexier” than supermodel Tyra Banks! This entry begs the question: When did a public health figure’s aesthetic appeal become part of the conversation? An 80-year-old man regarding himself as a heartthrob is certainly a plot twist this pandemic script didn’t see coming.

In summary, while millions were led to believe in the unfaltering science of Tony Fauci, these diary entries unveil a more human side, intertwined with insecurities and a desire for approval. As Fauci prepares to testify before Congress, the hope is that he’ll be answering more difficult questions than how to score invitations to lobster dinners with his media pals. The public deserves a clear picture of leadership, especially my friends who had to endure the lockdowns, not just a peek into an ego-centric journal.
