Gov’t Manipulation Exposed: Dem Socialists Miss the Real Truth

### The Remarkable Decline of Global Poverty: A Noticeable Miracle Ignored

Imagine waking up each morning to the sound of optimism ringing in the air. For roughly 35 years, the world has witnessed an extraordinary miracle that seems almost too good to be true. In 1990, a staggering 2.3 billion people struggled in extreme poverty. Yet, in a remarkable turnaround, that number has plummeted to around 831 million by 2025. With the global population ballooning to over 7.8 billion during the same time, this means about 115,000 people have escaped the grips of extreme poverty every single day! That’s a celebration worthy of a confetti shower, yet the world barely seems to notice.

While some might hastily attribute this success solely to China’s booming economy, they would be sorely mistaken. Outside of China, the extreme poverty rate fell from 33% to a mere 12%. This is truly a collective global achievement, driven by innovation, hard work, and the spirit of entrepreneurship. Historical pioneers like Norman Borlaug, often labeled the ‘father of the Green Revolution’, played vital roles by revolutionizing agriculture. Through his relentless efforts in Mexico, he made it possible for them to not only produce wheat for themselves but eventually even export it. Today, it is less about who gets credit and more about recognizing how innovation has the power to change lives.

Despite these significant achievements, many people in the United States might feel as if they are stuck in a rut. So why does it seem like things are getting tougher? Well, the answer lies not in the magic of the free market but rather in government regulations. From healthcare costs skyrocketing to college tuition fees that seem to rise faster than a hot air balloon, the average American has felt the pinch. While prices for electronics such as televisions and smartphones have dropped significantly, essential services seem to have taken an opposite route, leaving consumers scratching their heads and wondering what on Earth is going on.

One astonishing statistic illustrates the historic burden of government overreach: government regulation now contributes an average of $131,734 to the price of a new single-family home. That’s a whopping 26.4% of the total cost! This isn’t merely a random occurrence; it’s a trend that has seen regulation costs double in just over a decade. Fewer first-time buyers, and an increase in regulations preventing new constructions, creates a perfect storm that leaves homeownership out of reach for many aspiring buyers. In simpler terms, government meddling is making it increasingly difficult for people to acquire the very necessities they need.

And let’s not gloss over the fact that today, a whopping 20-25% of American workers require a government license just to do their jobs. At one time, only 5% faced this requirement. Who would’ve thought that becoming a barber in Iowa would come with a requirement of 2100 hours of training? This is obviously less about safety and more about protecting established businesses from new competition, ultimately driving prices up. It looks suspiciously like a game rigged by those in power to keep new contenders off the field.

In light of these statistics and crippling regulations, it’s time to rethink our approach. Instead of propping up failing corporations or continuing the cycle of bailouts, the prescription for healing the economy begins with the elimination of government interference. It’s crucial to recognize that letting failed businesses collapse isn’t a disaster but a natural part of a well-functioning market. Protecting customers, whether through the removal of archaic licensing laws or ensuring contract enforcement to deter fraud, must be the focus. We have to ensure that the American Dream is attainable once again, paving the way for generations to come and unblocking the stranglehold that excessive regulation has over our economy.

After all, just because we made strides in the battle against global poverty does not mean we should stop fighting the good fight at home. Everyone deserves a shot at prosperity and success, free from unnecessary barriers that do nothing but sap the excitement right out of chasing the American Dream. By addressing these issues, society can shift gears and transform that lingering frustration into a pathway for real growth and opportunity. Now, wouldn’t that be a story worth celebrating?
