The debate happened Friday night on Maher’s show Real Time. Maher called the Bible full of nonsense and wickedness like he always does. He thinks he’s so smart being an atheist and mocking people of faith. But Shapiro wasn’t having any of it.

Here’s where Shapiro delivered the knockout punch. He asked Maher a simple question that destroyed his whole argument. Why do they agree on 87 percent of moral issues if Maher thinks he made up his own morality? The answer exposed everything.

Shapiro explained that both he and Maher grew up in Western society built on thousands of years of biblical tradition. Then came the perfect line that silenced the room. Shapiro told Maher he thinks he hit a triple but was actually born on third base morally speaking.

The liberal audience actually started clapping for Shapiro. You could see Maher didn’t know what to say next. His whole anti-religion act fell apart when faced with basic logic and historical facts.

Maher tried to fight back by claiming morality comes from the Enlightenment instead. But Shapiro was ready for that too. He pointed out that even Thomas Jefferson made his own version of the Bible focused on moral teachings.

Shapiro finished strong by saying cut flowers die when separated from their roots. A society that abandons its biblical foundations can’t keep its values forever. The truth hit hard and everyone knew it.
