It’s nothing short of impressive how tucked away somewhere in this vast landscape of concerns, the essence of infrastructure has been consistently overlooked.
Let’s not forget that under Pete’s watch, America’s air travel safety now rests on a crumbling system long overdue for an upgrade. It’s a wonder that the nation’s airports don’t hand out four-leaf clovers as boarding passes. While our air traffic control is clearly on its last legs, our Secretary is reading Norwegian novels and perhaps contemplating if consulting the Iliad might provide divine intervention.
If there’s a silver lining amidst this chaos, it’s the entertainment value of watching governmental projects on broadband turn into comedic tragedies. Apparently, an entire forty-two billion dollar venture hasn’t connected a single soul to the web, leaving many Americans to ponder if flip-phones are about to make a grand comeback. The blend of bureaucratic red tape, complex climate demands, and union requisites might as well be the plot of a new satirical film…if it weren’t the sad reality first.
At this point, one might wonder if these leaders are doing anything right. But rest assured, whenever there’s a regulation-imposed snafu, irony is the only winner. As for the rest of America, they’re left wondering if true leadership is part of Biden’s, or indeed “Pothole Pete’s” reading list anytime soon.
