Minneapolis officials publicly clashed with federal accounts, and the entire episode has been used as proof, by some on the left, that federal law enforcement must be vilified at every turn.
Worse still, the investigation itself has been mired in controversy, with the FBI taking lead control and local agencies saying they have been shut out of evidence — a breakdown that only fuels suspicion and chaos. Federal involvement and the politicization of the probe highlight how law enforcement is becoming a pawn in a broader anti-police campaign.
Megyn Kelly rightly called attention to what she dubbed a “Karen Intifada” — a surge of performative outrage from privileged leftist activists and social media influencers who posture as defenders of the downtrodden while celebrating the targeting of federal officers. Conservative Americans who believe in law and order should be alarmed: vilifying the men and women who put themselves between chaos and our communities is a recipe for more bloodshed.
If we care about justice we must demand a sober, transparent investigation and resist the siren call of instant social-media condemnation that fuels mob behavior. Elected officials and media elites who fan the flames should be held accountable for the environment they create, and the country must stand behind the rule of law and the safety of every officer who answers the call to protect our neighborhoods.
