China is waging war on America right under our noses. They are using our own universities as weapons against us. Communist spies are sitting in classrooms across the nation, stealing our secrets and threatening our national security.
Nearly 277,000 Chinese students are studying at American colleges right now. Up to 50,000 of them get money directly from the Chinese Communist Party through a program designed to steal our technology. Every single Chinese student must get approval from their communist government before coming here.
House Republicans are finally fighting back against this invasion. Representative John Moolenaar is demanding that six major universities hand over information about their Chinese students in science and engineering programs. He correctly calls our student visa system a Trojan Horse for Beijing.
The evidence is overwhelming and terrifying. More than 60 Chinese spy cases have been caught since 2021 across 20 states. At Stanford University, student Chen Song was caught sending research updates directly to the Chinese government. The FBI says China keeps stealing our research and taking advantage of our universities.
China has built a complete spy network on our campuses. They force their students to report back on American research and technology. Chinese students must follow orders from the Communist Party or face punishment back home.
Our universities are making this worse by chasing Chinese money. They care more about profits than protecting America. These schools are acting like incubators for China’s military and technology advancement while our national security suffers.
The Trump administration understands this threat is real. Secretary of State Marco Rubio calls China our greatest enemy. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem knows China wants to control our critical infrastructure through cyber attacks and espionage.
America must wake up before it is too late. We cannot let China use our open society to destroy us from within. Our universities must choose between Chinese money and American security.
