Trump rightfully called out Chicago as dangerous, pointing to the city’s long history of violence and crime. But instead of addressing the real problems facing American cities, Colbert chose to attack Trump with foul language that had to be censored on television.
The so-called comedian delivered a two-word response that got bleeped by CBS censors. Only the second word made it to air, but viewers knew exactly what he said. This is what passes for political commentary on liberal television today.
What makes this even more telling is how Colbert handled news of the recent assassination attempt on Trump. While he paid lip service to condemning political violence, his audience and show have spent years demonizing the former president. You can’t spend years calling someone a threat to democracy and then act surprised when unstable people take action.
The liberal media has created this toxic environment where half the country sees Trump as evil. Shows like Colbert’s have poisoned the well with constant attacks and inflammatory rhetoric. They’ve turned political disagreement into personal hatred.
Meanwhile, Chicago continues to struggle with real crime problems that affect real families. Instead of honest discussion about solutions, we get crude jokes from millionaire TV hosts. This is exactly why Americans don’t trust the mainstream media anymore.
Colbert and his fellow late-night hosts have abandoned comedy for political activism. They’re not entertainers anymore – they’re just Democratic Party cheerleaders with television shows. Their bias is so obvious that even their attempts to appear reasonable fall flat.
American families deserve better than this garbage on their televisions. We need real leadership and honest conversation about the challenges facing our cities, not more vulgar attacks from Hollywood elites who live in gated communities far from the problems they refuse to acknowledge.
