Democrats Cheer Chaos as Law and Order Crumbles Under Their Watch

Americans are watching in disbelief as elected Democrats openly cheer on chaos and undermine federal law enforcement. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has urged citizens to film ICE operations and “bank evidence” against federal agents, while New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani told a national TV audience he supports abolishing ICE outright. These aren’t the cautious words of leaders seeking accountability; they are rallying cries that embolden lawlessness and tear at the rule of law.

Mamdani’s appearance on The View was not some offhand remark; he plainly told the hosts he is “in support of abolishing ICE,” portraying the agency as a menace rather than a vital law-enforcement tool. That kind of rhetoric from the mayor of our largest city is dangerous and tone-deaf to victims of violent crime who need immigration enforcement to stop predators and cartels. Progressives who applaud dismantling ICE are playing with public safety for political theater.

Governor Walz has gone further than polite criticism, urging Minnesotans to carry phones and record ICE operations “to bank evidence for future prosecution,” effectively enlisting civilians to shadow and obstruct federal agents. Calling on ordinary citizens to make frontline tactics against law enforcement while the White House piles on is reckless, and it risks turning peaceful oversight into coordinated interference. Leaders are supposed to de-escalate, not hand out instructions that make already-tense situations explode.

Conservative commentators have pointed out the hypocrisy: while urging others to confront federal officers, Democrats live safe and secure lives miles from the chaos they stoke. Megyn Kelly’s guests highlighted footage and reports claiming Walz encouraged protesters while out of harm’s way at his residence, a spectacle that looks like political grandstanding more than governance. Whether or not every frame is perfect, the image is unmistakable: elites urging “good trouble” while refusing to face the consequences themselves.

This isn’t abstract. Federal prosecutors have opened inquiries and served subpoenas into local officials’ actions and statements tied to protests and disruptions of ICE operations, because there is a real line between free speech and obstructing federal officers. If governors and mayors are using their offices to facilitate interference with federal law enforcement, that invites legal accountability and rightly so. Americans want justice, not politicized cover-ups or selective outrage.

Let’s be honest about what’s at stake: abolishing ICE or encouraging citizens to block agents will hand control of our borders and neighborhoods to cartels and criminal networks. Conservatives believe in law and order, in protecting victims, and in holding bad actors accountable—regardless of political pressure from cable TV or social media mobs. If Democrats want to reform enforcement procedures, do it through the legislature and courts, not by inciting crowds and undermining officers on the street.

Patriots who love this country should demand better from their leaders. We need elected officials who will defend the rule of law, call out bad conduct where it exists, and pursue reform through institutions—not by cheering on protests that put innocents and officers at risk. Stand for accountability, not chaos; stand for safety, not virtue-signaling that endangers our communities.
