Robert Garcia and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass even boasted that the House Oversight Committee would launch the tracker “in the next couple of weeks,” inviting the public to upload videos and locations of ICE operations so their allies can file complaints or worse. That admission turns citizens’ cameras into tools of obstruction, and it hands left-wing vigilantes a ready-made hits list to interfere with lawful arrests.
This isn’t abstract fearmongering — federal law-enforcement officers are already facing a surge in assaults and threats, and Democrats cheering on public doxxing know exactly what they’re doing. Republican voices and law-and-order advocates warn the tracker will ratchet up danger to ICE agents and their families, effectively encouraging attacks on public servants doing a difficult job.
