ESPN’s NFL Draft Fiasco: Woke Politics Ruins Sports Coverage

ESPN’s 2025 NFL Draft coverage became a national embarrassment as conservative commentator Jason Whitlock exposed their biased reporting. Network analysts like Mel Kiper Jr. abandoned journalistic standards to aggressively promote quarterback Shedeur Sanders – a clear example of ESPN putting woke politics above football expertise.

Mina Kimes reportedly bragged about being a “DEI hire” during draft coverage, proving ESPN cares more about checking boxes than finding real talent. While hardworking college athletes waited for their shot, the network pushed identity politics over honest analysis of players’ skills.

Mel Kiper spent two days hyping Shedeur Sanders despite the Colorado quarterback’s mediocre performance record. This desperate attempt to manufacture a racial narrative backfired when NFL teams rejected ESPN’s propaganda – Sanders shockingly fell out of the first two rounds.

Whitlock revealed Sanders and his father Deion “Prime Time” Sanders avoided draft cameras as reality set in. While ESPN tried to spin the quarterback’s freefall, patriotic fans saw through the network’s lies. Real America wants sports coverage focused on touchdowns – not social justice lectures.

The sports giant’s credibility collapsed when Stephen A. Smith accused NFL teams of “colluding” against Sanders. This conspiracy theory insulted team scouts who actually evaluate talent instead of chasing viral moments. ESPN would rather attack America’s favorite sport than admit their failed narrative.

Shedeur Sanders’ flashy chains and reality TV antics couldn’t hide his poor decision-making on the field. While ESPN peddled excuses about “NIL deals” and “unfair scrutiny,” NFL franchises showed they still value discipline and leadership over Instagram followers.

This draft disaster proves ESPN has abandoned sports fans to become a propaganda machine. Their obsession with race-baiting and celebrity culture alienates working-class viewers who just want tough analysis. Until they fire activists like Kiper and Kimes, the network will keep losing trust.

Whitlock’s courageous truth-telling exposed how far ESPN has fallen. While coastal elites push divisive narratives, real Americans know football greatness comes from grit and merit – not media manipulation or victim politics. The draft disaster should serve as a wake-up call for ESPN to return to authentic sports journalism.
