FCC Investigates Disney Over ‘Woke’ Hiring Practices and DEI Policies

The Federal Communications Commission is cracking down on Disney’s “woke” hiring practices. FCC Chairman Brendan Carr announced an investigation into Disney and ABC for pushing radical diversity rules that may have broken discrimination laws. The move comes after Disney faced backlash for forcing race and gender quotas into TV shows and company policies.

Chairman Carr says Disney’s DEI programs treated people unfairly based on skin color and gender. He’s checking if ABC violated rules that ban race-based hiring for TV stations. Even though Disney recently dropped some DEI policies, Carr worries they’re still sneaking in unfair practices. He wants proof Disney isn’t just hiding their old ways with new names.

President Trump set the stage for this fight by canceling government DEI programs on his first day back in office. Now his administration is targeting big companies that put politics ahead of fairness. Disney once focused on making great movies, but critics say it got distracted pushing divisive identity politics instead.

Reports show Disney required half of all TV characters to come from “underrepresented groups.” They allegedly forced production crews to meet race quotas for writers and directors. Even executive bonuses were tied to hitting these woke targets. This top-down social engineering angered employees and viewers who just want quality entertainment.

The FCC’s job is to make sure TV stations follow the law. Carr argues Disney’s ABC network crossed the line by putting DEI activism above equal opportunity. If the investigation finds wrongdoing, Disney could face fines or lose broadcast licenses. This sends a clear message to corporations: treat Americans as individuals, not racial checkboxes.

Disney shareholders recently voted 99% to keep working with pro-LGBTQ groups, showing the company’s deep ties to radical politics. While Disney claims to value inclusion, conservatives see this as proof they’re still putting ideology ahead of storytelling. Parents are tired of woke messages replacing family-friendly content.

Some liberals whine about government overreach, but Carr is simply enforcing existing anti-discrimination laws. When companies like Disney use race-based hiring, they’re breaking rules meant to protect everyone. True fairness means judging people by their skills, not their skin color.

This investigation marks a turning point in the culture wars. The federal government is finally standing up to powerful corporations that bully employees and customers with extreme DEI policies. Conservatives hope this sends a message that merit and quality matter more than pandering to political agendas.
