ICE agents are finally doing their job under strong leadership that puts America first. They just completed the biggest immigration sweep in Florida history, arresting over 1,100 criminal illegal aliens in just one week. This is what real border security looks like when we have leaders with backbone.
The numbers tell the whole story about who’s been living illegally in our communities. Nearly two-thirds of those arrested already had criminal records or outstanding warrants. These aren’t the so-called “dreamers” the liberal media loves to talk about.
Gang members from MS-13, Tren de Aragua, and other violent groups were swept up in the operation. These dangerous criminals have been terrorizing American neighborhoods while Democrats looked the other way. Now they’re finally facing consequences.
The arrests included people from Guatemala, Mexico, Honduras, Venezuela, and El Salvador. Many had already been ordered deported by immigration judges but were still walking our streets. This proves how broken our system became under weak leadership.
Florida leads the nation with over 76 percent of law enforcement agencies working with ICE. Governor DeSantis has shown other states how to protect their citizens. Compare that to sanctuary cities that shield criminals from deportation.
The new Laken Riley Act is making a real difference by requiring detention for immigrants charged with theft and other crimes. This common-sense law honors the memory of an innocent young woman killed by someone who should never have been here. Every American family deserves this protection.
Some groups are crying about “abusive practices” at detention facilities, but these are the same activists who want open borders. They care more about protecting illegal aliens than keeping dangerous criminals away from our families. Their priorities are completely backwards.
This is just the beginning of what real immigration enforcement looks like. When we put America first and follow our laws, communities become safer and citizens can sleep better at night. Every state should follow Florida’s example and start protecting their own people.
