Follow the Money: Are Activist Funds Fueling America’s Turmoil?

Glenn Beck’s chalkboard routine may rile the mainstream media, but hardworking Americans should pay attention when a veteran journalist lays out the money trails that undergird modern political movements. Beck walks viewers through real nonprofit networks and asks the question too few in the establishment press will: who benefits when our streets turn into battlegrounds?

Now, to be clear and fair: the mainstream fact-checkers rightly point out there’s no verified paper trail showing George Soros or Open Society directly wiring cash to so-called ANTIFA cells. Those denials matter, and conservatives shouldn’t be accused of peddling conspiracy when reputable outlets show the difference between direct operational funding and broader philanthropic giving.

But here’s the part the left’s media machine never wants to admit: Open Society and allied foundations funnel huge sums into intermediary nonprofits that then bankroll activist infrastructure. Organizations like the Tides Network operate as fiscal sponsors and pass-throughs for donors, creating legitimate charities with a great deal of financial flexibility — and, yes, opacity.

That structure isn’t theory — it’s the reason thousands of activist campaigns suddenly have money for legal defense, travel, training, and coordination. When grants flow to entities that then support campus occupations, street actions, or legal aid for protesters, conservatives have every right to ask whether those funds are being used to bankroll violent or destructive tactics. The American people deserve transparency, not platitudes.

The political class can wring its hands about “decentralized” ANTIFA all it wants, but decentralization isn’t the same as being unfunded. Donor networks, fiscal sponsors, and left-leaning foundations have been shown to move millions into the activist ecosystem, and that reality demands scrutiny from Congress and the courts. If institutions are being used as conduits for political agitation, we should follow the money with subpoenas, not silence.

Patriots who love law and order should be suspicious of any system that allows ideological agendas to be bankrolled through shadowy channels while the media looks the other way. Conservatives should push for straightforward reforms: donor transparency, enforcement of nonprofit rules, and aggressive oversight of organizations that act like political war chests. If the left wants to organize, let them do it in the sunlight — and let the rest of us decide if that organizing strengthens America or tears it apart.
