Gutfeld Warns: A Legal Storm Is Brewing

In the latest chapter of “American Wacky Politics,” we find ourselves in Minneapolis, where a group of protestors, as casual as a janitor’s forgotten mop, attempted to set up their own little experiment against law enforcement, creating makeshift borders and causing quite the ruckus. The irony couldn’t be thicker. While they protest against the idea of borders, they simultaneously form their own, proving once again that consistency is not a strong suit of these activist collectives. Thankfully, the Minneapolis police, unlike their Seattle counterparts during the infamous CHOP/CHAZ situation, acted swiftly to dismantle this temporary “protest encampment,” ensuring safety and not letting things spiral out of control.

This scenario might remind some of the bizarre happenings a while back in Seattle, where protestors established an autonomous zone and chaos ensued. People were regulating entry in this make-believe society, culminating in tragedy with fatal incidents that highlighted the sheer recklessness of such endeavors. It turns out that living in a consequence-free utopia isn’t as simple as some might hope. But in Minneapolis, sanity prevailed. The city avoided the Seattle route, learning from past mistakes and recognizing that unchecked anarchy isn’t the best option. When faced with a crisis, it’s reassuring to see some cities still understand the importance of law and order.

A Nebraska high school provided another comedy of errors. A student’s mother has good reason to question the school’s encouragement of anti-ICE protests, one of which resulted in her daughter getting hit by a car. Now, one might wonder why anyone thought it was a good idea to charge at a moving vehicle, but common sense often takes a backseat in these situations. The real head-scratcher is how schools are getting tangled up in these messes, needing to focus more on spelling and safety rather than teaching kids to put themselves in danger.

All these antics seem to be a lawsuit in the making, with cities like Minneapolis and Seattle potentially facing financial repercussions due to the actions of their so-called “woke” policies. The idea of standing in front of a car to make a point seems less like an act of bravery and more like a nonsensical misstep. Parents and city officials alike are scratching their heads and asking the most basic of questions—why are we allowing this to happen? And why aren’t we holding individuals, rather than abstract systems, accountable for such actions?

Finally, the spectacle takes a turn towards the surreal with the suggestion that perhaps there’s some secret fund for protestors—where do they find the time to be constantly out protesting rather than working? With pricey jackets and gloves aplenty, it’s as if there’s an unseen network supporting these activities. It leaves one to wonder, are they part of some hidden club that grants unlimited protest privileges? Until then, logic continues to take a holiday in these parts of town, but one can only hope for the return of reason and the understanding that laws are here to protect, not to be tossed aside like a forgotten ice cream wrapper.
