There’s no room for their brand of fairy tales in his party. Rahm, ever the pragmatist, points out that the DSA recently held a convention in Chicago. Their agenda? Things like defunding the police, opening the borders wide enough to drive a go-kart through, and abolishing the Pentagon. Rahm is almost daring the DSA to form a separate party instead of lurking in the shadows like an unwelcome guest at a family reunion.
Now, while this internal conflict simmers, the Democrats appear to be struggling with another issue: a lack of a sturdy political agenda. Hakeem Jeffries has admitted the party is somewhat adrift, focusing solely on slamming anything remotely connected to President Trump. Meanwhile, talk around the news circuit suggests perhaps the Democrats need to focus more on putting their own ideas on the ballot. Forget about simply reacting to Trump-era decisions. The nation needs more than just complaints—it needs solutions.
