Insiders Divided: Kamala Harris’ Next Move in Question

Frankie Valli, a name synonymous with the golden era of music, recently shared a stage with Dave Rubin in what was quite the nostalgic moment. At 90 years old, Valli is still thrilling audiences, proving once again that legends truly never die. For over six decades, his music has brought immense joy to millions, with songs like “Sherry” still evoking the magic of the early 60s. Dave Rubin had the privilege of being a part of this magic during a show in Fort Myers, where he experienced a personal shout-out from Valli himself. One cannot help but laugh at the absurdity of a 90-year-old serenading a crowd with more energy and zest than many politicians bring to their daily duties.

Speaking of politicians, the conversation took an interesting segue into California’s political scene. Kamala Harris, a potential gubernatorial candidate, seems to inspire less enthusiasm than a soggy sandwich at a summer picnic. A recent poll painted a picture of indifference from Californians regarding Harris’s prospects as governor. Interestingly, registered voters in California, presumably the same folks who keep electing the same old, seem to have a slightly brighter view of Harris’s candidacy. Yet, one has to wonder what truly excites them, considering the political landscape of California appears to thrive on chaos intertwined with high taxes.

It’s not that Kamala Harris is trying to follow in Valli’s footsteps; after all, the key to success may be knowing the melody, which Harris appears to have misplaced in her political journey. The comparison is fitting though amusing, especially when you’re shifting from a man who’s spent decades bringing joy to a woman who can’t seem to find a steady political note. As Rubin humorously pointed out, Harris, at 60, is still struggling to find a place in California’s chaotic tune. She’s kind of like that artist at a concert who forgets their own lyrics – perplexing and a tad bit cringeworthy.

California, as Rubin amusingly noted, isn’t short of sane people; they just might be stuck in traffic. Therefore, when half of California’s electorate seems to groan at the mention of Harris, it might be time for a different song. Kamala’s political path, chock-full of ambiguous intentions, leaves more to the imagination than anything else. Unlike her political peer, Hillary Clinton – who despite her leanings, at least owned a consistent ideology – Harris floats on a sea of uncertainty, leaving one to wonder if she knows where she’s headed or merely driftwood on California’s political tides.

Hillary Clinton had her beliefs, agree or disagree, one could at least predict her stance. Harris, on the other hand, offers a murky vision that leaves folks reaching for the skip button. For Californian voters, it’s like choosing between the devil you know and the one whose intentions remain vague. As Valli continues defying age with his timeless hits, California’s political scene, riddled with endless equivocations from leaders like Harris, could learn a thing or two from music legends about striking the right chord.
