Vice President JD Vance just delivered some hard truths that left a room full of elites squirming in their seats. Speaking at the American Dynamism Summit in March, Vance tore apart the lies that corporate America has been selling us for decades about globalization. He called out the failed promises that cost millions of American workers their jobs and weakened our great nation.
For years, the so-called experts told us globalization would be great for America. They said we would move up to designing products while other countries did the simple manufacturing work. They promised that American workers who lost factory jobs could just learn to code and everything would be fine.
But Vance exposed the ugly truth that patriotic Americans have known all along. Countries that took our manufacturing jobs also got really good at designing products too. These foreign nations shared ideas and workers with each other, getting stronger while America got weaker.
The globalist elites assumed other countries would always stay behind us in the value chain. Instead, as Vance explained, these nations caught up to us from both ends of the manufacturing process. America got squeezed out of both the low-end and high-end work that should have stayed here.
Vance called cheap labor exactly what it is – a dangerous drug that too many American companies got addicted to. Instead of innovating and creating better products, greedy corporations took the easy way out by shipping jobs overseas or importing foreign workers. This addiction to cheap labor has been destroying American innovation for decades.
Whether companies moved factories to cheap labor countries or brought in foreign workers through our broken immigration system, the result was the same. Western economies became hooked on this cheap labor drug while productivity went down the drain. Countries like Canada and the UK that imported tons of cheap labor saw their productivity completely stagnate.
This is exactly why President Trump and Vice President Vance won in 2024 – because they tell the truth about what globalization really did to hardworking Americans. While the Washington swamp and corporate elites got rich, American families paid the price with lost jobs and destroyed communities. The vice president is finally calling out this betrayal for what it really was.
Vance’s brutal honesty about globalization proves that this administration will put America First, not the profits of multinational corporations. It is time to bring manufacturing back home and stop letting foreign countries steal our jobs and our future. Real Americans have been waiting decades for leaders brave enough to speak these truths.
