Liberal comedian Bill Maher just threw President Trump under the bus on his HBO show. He mocked Trump for losing support from his own base over the Jeffrey Epstein files. Maher thinks it’s funny that Trump’s supporters are finally questioning him.
The Epstein scandal has been a hot topic for years. Many Americans wanted to see the full truth about the convicted sex trafficker’s connections. Trump promised his supporters he would get to the bottom of it all.
Now those same supporters are angry with Trump. His Justice Department said Epstein died by suicide in prison and claimed there’s no client list. The QAnon crowd that backed Trump for years is starting to doubt him.
Maher said Trump spent years hyping the Epstein conspiracy. The liberal host claimed Trump’s “horrible creation” has now turned against him. He compared it to getting run over by your own invention.
Here’s what Maher gets wrong though. Conservative Americans aren’t conspiracy theorists for wanting transparency. We deserve to know the truth about powerful people who may have broken the law. The government works for us, not the other way around.
Maher loves to paint Trump supporters as crazy people. He mentioned chemtrails and space lasers to make patriots look foolish. This is the same tired playbook liberals always use to silence legitimate questions.
The real issue isn’t about conspiracy theories. It’s about holding everyone accountable, whether they’re Republican or Democrat. Too many powerful people in both parties have gotten away with too much for too long.
Americans deserve full transparency about the Epstein case. We should demand answers from our leaders regardless of party. If there’s nothing to hide, then why not release everything and let the people decide for themselves.
