Back in 1982, CBS News and Dan Rather made a bold prediction that should make every American laugh today. They warned viewers that 25 percent of Florida would soon be underwater because of global warming. That was 43 years ago, and guess what? Florida is still here, and it’s thriving.
This ridiculous fear-mongering shows exactly what we’ve come to expect from the mainstream media. They love to scare hard-working Americans with wild predictions that never come true. Dan Rather and his CBS buddies tried to convince us that our beautiful state would disappear beneath the waves.
The so-called experts back then claimed we were facing an “impending catastrophe.” They used fancy scientific language to make their doom and gloom sound official. But real Americans could see through their lies even then.
Here we are in 2025, and Florida’s beaches are packed with tourists. Our coastal cities are booming with new construction and growing populations. If these climate alarmists were right, shouldn’t Miami be Atlantis by now?
The funniest part is watching these same media elites buy million-dollar oceanfront mansions. If they really believed their own scary stories about rising seas, why would they invest in beach houses? Their actions prove they know it’s all fake.
This failed prediction perfectly shows why we can’t trust the liberal media on climate change. They’ve been crying wolf for decades while nothing happens. Meanwhile, they want to destroy American jobs and energy independence based on their phony science.
Smart Americans see right through this scam. We know that Mother Nature is much stronger than anything humans can do to her. Our planet has survived ice ages and warm periods long before cars and factories existed.
The next time some talking head on TV tries to scare you with climate predictions, just remember Dan Rather and his underwater Florida fantasy. These people have been wrong for over 40 years, and they’ll keep being wrong as long as we refuse to fall for their tricks.
