The relentless cheerleaders of the left have once again proven their knack for willful blindness, this time ignoring the glaringly obvious situation surrounding President Biden’s noticeable decline. The media realm seems to be a strange place these days, where many networks act as if they’re members of the Democratic National Committee. It’s like watching a toddler play peekaboo – if they don’t see it or talk about it, surely nobody else will notice, right? Unfortunately for them, a whole lot of us see the reality quite clearly.
When things get awkward, the Democrats are quick to point fingers, but it seems they’ve run out of places to point. Rather than admitting they played a part in the ongoing saga, liberal media personnel would have people believe that right-wing folks cook up outrage from nothing. It’s not about the media missing the story – it’s all about ignoring it deliberately. The refusal to talk about Biden’s struggles is akin to claiming that everything is fine while standing on a sinking ship.
Biden’s critics, and there are plenty, point out the clumsy maneuvers, the constant help offstage, and the sometimes puzzling speeches. Anyone with eyes, and reasonably functioning ears, can see that something’s a little off. Yet some Democrats seem to think it’s a grand conspiracy created by conservatives just to stir the pot. Wouldn’t it be convenient to blame everything on opponents rather than face the facts?
The media and some in the Democratic Party are like that person who insists their old television is in perfect working order, even as they’re smacking the side to get it to stop showing snow. What’s genuinely concerning is that those entrusted with impartial reporting, the watchdogs of society, decided their role was to play defense rather than report the fact. Anyone daring to point out the obvious gets dismissed faster than a waiter at a weight loss meeting, with comments like, “Well, have you seen the stress he’s under?”
Just like a sitcom that isn’t funny, this situation would be pitiful if it weren’t so serious. When the Democrats and their media allies finally decide to open their eyes, what excuses will they use then? A teleprompter malfunction? A sly lighting trick? Whatever story they concoct, let’s hope they realize that the rest of America has long since tuned out of their convenient fantasies. If a journalist’s job is to present the truth, then perhaps it’s time for those in power to take a long, hard look in the mirror and ask themselves if they’re really upholding that trust.
