In a city teeming with millions, at the crack of dawn, gunfire echoed against the nationwide backdrop of peace and politeness. A couple of guys in a Honda thought they’d add a smattering of bullet holes to the facade to really drive home their point. If it’s for attention they were after, mission accomplished.
We’re seeing more of these disruptions, right here in places that were once considered quiet, peaceful havens. In case anyone forgot, Canada has always been praised for its welcoming vibes to everyone and their grandma, but even the symbols of the Great White North’s hearty diplomacy have come under fire. And with reports of the Iranian population in Canada growing, some folks are starting to wonder if there’s a connection or if it’s just a cosmic mess-up.
It might be high time to rethink how open we are to newcomers. Dexterous diversity and enticing immigration policies are beautiful on paper, but when those feel-good vibes turn into real fireworks, it’s probably time to dial back a bit on that front. While nobody’s saying to ditch the maple syrup-dripping welcome wagon entirely, it’s definitely a good moment for a serious lookout for those with less-than-friendly intentions.
