President Trump is finally doing what needed to be done in our nation’s capital. He sent 800 National Guard troops to Washington DC this week to take back the streets from criminals and chaos. While Democrats have let crime run wild, Trump stepped up to restore law and order.

The Guard troops hit the streets on August 14th and are working around the clock. They patrol in shifts of 100 to 200 soldiers at a time, supporting our brave law enforcement officers. Trump also took federal control of DC’s police department because local Democrats clearly can’t handle the job.

Liberal critics are already whining about Trump’s bold action. They claim the deployment is just meant to scare people and target the homeless. These same people have been perfectly fine letting hardworking Americans live in fear of violent criminals.

The facts don’t lie about DC’s crime problem. Regular citizens are getting gunned down in broad daylight while Democrat leaders do nothing. Trump saw the crisis and acted like a real leader should act.

Some DC residents are finally speaking up about feeling unsafe in their own neighborhoods. They want protection from the gangs and drug dealers who have taken over their streets. Trump heard their cries for help when Democrats ignored them.

The National Guard deployment will continue until Trump decides law and order are restored. This isn’t about politics – it’s about keeping innocent people safe from predators. America deserves leaders who actually protect citizens instead of making excuses for criminals.
