It feels like waking up from a bizarre dream, doesn’t it? Remember when folks were more than a little worried about those crazy times? Well, it’s like we’re finally waking up and shaking off that weird confusion. This is what they were trying to do, folks—they wanted to wrap everything up in such a chaotic mess that even the most level-headed among us felt lost. Imagine all those ridiculous moments; at least with those masks, there was no chance of any biting mishaps happening. Silver linings, right?
It’s hard not to look back and giggle, yet gasp, at the strange journey that we all witnessed. Remember when there was that not-so-resolute person who had trouble distinguishing a door from the nearest hedges? Imagine the poor Secret Service, always pointing him in the right direction like a kindergarten teacher with a hyperactive kid. And all that while holding the nuclear football, no less! Talk about weak moments that felt like an insult, just waiting to pop up on every phone screen first thing in the morning.
Let’s not even get started on those nerve-wracking live streams from certain controversial places, which were just topping the chaos charts. The situations they were put into would create an uproarious laughter if it weren’t happening right before our eyes. Watching it unfold, one could almost feel the collective eye roll across the nation. It’s like we all bonded over the same exasperation, uniting with the shared goal of pulling ourselves out of the nonsense.
And oh, the relief of tuning out certain voices that droned on forever! Imagine never having to hear those particularly grating speeches again, hailing from someone whose notable contribution was witnessing the certification fiascos on January 6th, 2021. Thank goodness the uproarious dramas are over. Hearing that sign-off certified the hopes of many, forever etching it as the last time we had to endure such vocal gymnastics.
Thank goodness those days are behind us, and sanity took its much-anticipated encore. Now, there’s a different scene, with Melania Trump in that storied residence, a refreshing change from the previous oddball sequences. It’s like that chapter is closed, and the book is at a much more cheerful tale, one that’s possibly more coherent and definitely with fewer eyebrow-raising moments.
