Trump’s Heartfelt Christmas Eve Thanks to Troops Overseas

As Christmas descended upon the Mar-a-Lago paradise, President Trump and First Lady Melania indulged in the time-honored tradition of spreading festive cheer across the globe. While some leaders might merely sign a few holiday cards, this dynamic duo took festive outreach to new heights. From hosting spirited phone chats with children eagerly tracking Santa’s journey to thanking our brave U.S. service members stationed abroad, they certainly put the merry back in Merry Christmas.

Imagine being a kid this Christmas and dialing into the NORAD Santa Tracking Hotline expecting to hear jingle bells and elves, only to find yourself chatting with the President or the First Lady. There’s nothing like pivoting from your wishlist of toys to being reminded about the environmental merits of “clean, beautiful coal,” delivered with a touch of Trumpian flair. It seems coal has managed to shake off its naughty list status, all thanks to its portrayal as a Christmas miracle in the form of energy.

While the kiddos were dreaming of sugar plums and perhaps a surprise tweet from Santa, President Trump turned his attention back to national security with a heartfelt call to the troops. These brave men and women sacrifice their holiday season so the rest of us can sing “Jingle Bells” in peace. They were reminded of how their devotion keeps the nation safe and that their families are the unsung heroes of these sacrifices.

As the sun set, dining with Mar-a-Lago guests didn’t mean leaving his presidential tone at the door. Instead, a digital holiday message came forth, wrapped with all the baubles and bows one would expect. It was Christmas cheer served with a sprinkle of political spice, contending with the Radical Left and echoing the administration’s commendable handling of law enforcement, the economy, and those once-pesky trade tariffs now spun as our nation’s economic stocking stuffers.

And as flakes of fake snow might gently fall across Palm Beach, the President’s supposed silence on Christmas Day is less of a retreat and more of a well-earned pause. Between sprightly discussions of Santa’s logistics and offering thanks to our troops, there is little doubt the First Family had a busy holiday indeed. It appears President Trump isn’t just playing Santa, he’s trying to lend a hand in rewriting the Christmas playbook. Here’s hoping he left out some “clean coal” for the man in red, just in case Rudolph needs a little extra power boost.
