Unpacking Trump Derangement Syndrome and Its Surprising Solution

While many folks across the country are fixated on the latest COVID variants, there’s a completely different ailment making waves—one that’s way more contagious and comes without a cure. It’s called Trump Derangement Syndrome, or TDS for short, and it seems to be spreading like wildfire among those who can’t seem to get over their obsession with the former president. It’s like a flu that attacks the mind, leaving those afflicted in a state of denial about the realities surrounding them. And unfortunately, the symptoms are everywhere.

For those unfamiliar with TDS, it’s not just about being a Trump critic. It’s a unique condition that seems to manifest in all sorts of peculiar behaviors. Common symptoms include an inexplicable fondness for Ukraine’s political dynamics, an odd infatuation with crime, and a flair for wearing oversized black eyeglasses—preferably paired with a short men’s crop haircut. If you see someone proudly displaying one or more of these symptoms, be careful. They may be suffering from this new brand of madness that has even captured the attention of the media.

The media, particularly outlets like CNN, have jumped aboard the TDS train with gusto. Recently, they were caught trying to convince the public that Trump was dead simply because he hadn’t made a public appearance for a few days. In contrast, when the Chinese military showcased its might in a recent parade, the same outlets praised it as a message of strength and victory. One has to wonder if CNN stands for the “Chinese News Network” instead of “Cable News Network.” Their anti-America stance raises questions about their credibility, as they twist narratives to fit their agenda, all while ignoring pressing concerns right here at home.

And the symptoms of TDS aren’t just limited to individuals. They’re permeating societal behavior up north as well. For instance, a popular Canadian whiskey brand, Crown Royal, is relocating to the United States. Naturally, Canadians are less than pleased, questioning the wisdom of such a move. They might want to consider supporting local products instead. After all, this shift is a signal that American leadership—especially under Donald Trump—may be turning the tide on international perceptions, even making Canadian whiskey great again in the process. It’s a strange tribute when a significant part of their identity is being produced right here in America.

In cities across the U.S., the impact of TDS can be seen in the leadership of Democrat-run areas, which seem to be blind to their own crime problems. Cities like Chicago are in dire straits, suffering from rampant violence that local leaders deny exists. Just last weekend alone, more than 50 people were shot! Yet, the former mayor continues to downplay the crisis, suggesting it’s all a manufactured drama. When one’s view of reality becomes skewed to the point of ignoring rampant crime, it’s a clear case of TDS at work.

The ramifications of TDS extend into discussions about fundamental rights as well. Many on the left struggle to grasp the concept espoused in the Declaration of Independence: that our rights originate from a higher power, not from government figures. This misunderstanding leads to a host of misguided ideals that further cloud their judgment. And the irony is that while they propagate false narratives and absurd conspiracies regarding Trump, they neglect the real and pressing issues facing our nation—like safety, security, and the fundamental rights that should be treasured and understood by all citizens.

In short, whether it’s TDS affecting individuals, media narratives stoking division, or local leadership turning a blind eye to crime, this ailment seems to be deeply rooted in the national conversation. Until awareness of this syndrome spreads, the landscape may continue to be shaped by those who refuse to acknowledge reality. It makes for quite the dramatic saga in American society, and one can only hope that the conversation moves back toward common sense and away from the clutches of derangement.
