Utah just passed the most important election reform in years. House Bill 300 will make voting more secure and stop potential fraud in its tracks. Liberal opponents are screaming because they know these common-sense rules will protect our elections from cheating.
Starting in 2029, Utah voters will need to request mail-in ballots instead of getting them automatically. This simple step ensures only people who actually want to vote will get ballots. No more wasted ballots sitting in mailboxes where anyone can grab them.
The new law also requires voters to write the last four digits of their ID number on their ballot. This basic security measure will stop people from voting illegally or using someone else’s ballot. Every legitimate voter should support this obvious fraud prevention tool.
Democrats and three weak Republicans voted against these protections. They claim the changes will hurt voter turnout, but that’s a lie. Real Americans who care about their country will have no problem following these simple rules to vote.
Utah had been mailing ballots to everyone since 2018, creating massive opportunities for fraud. Ballots could be stolen, forged, or filled out by the wrong person. These dangerous practices needed to stop immediately.
The bill was inspired by Project 2025, which fights for election integrity across America. Conservative leaders understand that secure elections are the foundation of our democracy. Without proper safeguards, we cannot trust our voting systems.
Liberal groups are already planning lawsuits to block these reforms. They want to keep the current broken system that makes fraud easy. Patriots must stand strong against these attacks on election security.
Governor Spencer Cox signed this historic bill into law in March 2025. Utah is now leading the nation in protecting voting rights for legal citizens only. Other states should follow Utah’s brave example immediately.
