White Americans Speak Out: Enough Is Enough

Oh, the joys of living in a world where everything, including the weather, seems to be the fault of the nearest available white person. Yes, folks, despite years of dreaming about character over color, society seems hell-bent on retrofitting every complaint imaginable with a “blame whitey” clause. In walks the phenomenon of anti-white ism, a term that dates back to the 1960s, and has been discussed in various contexts like France and Zimbabwe. It’s now making its rounds and looking to elbow its way into your morning coffee chats and social media scrolls.

Picture this: in states where white folks are already as rare as a steak at a vegan BBQ, the narrative insists they’re somehow conspiring from their shrinking enclaves to keep everyone else down. California and Texas, with their kaleidoscope of cultures, have long since left white folks in the minority. Yet, somehow, the idea persists that these all-powerful wizards are engineering dastardly feats of systemic oppression from their suburban fortresses—all without the advantage of numbers. Impressive, if it weren’t so patently absurd.

The mainstream media and Hollywood’s hottest have found a new pastime: enthusing over the “exciting transformation” of a dwindling white majority like it’s the latest blockbuster. Anderson Cooper beams with the kind of excitement typically reserved for award-show traffic on the red carpet. And let’s not forget those audience cheers on late-night TV with all the fervor of fans at a boy band reunion concert, whenever there’s mention of this “transformation.” It’s comedy gold until you realize the punchline is a collective cheer for one group’s declining presence.

Even though academic and legal perspectives on racism typically focus on systemic power dynamics, the portrayal sometimes is one where whites clamping down on others seems like the default setting from birth. Let’s overlook the irony—lest we spill our overpriced lattes—that their own narrative might be the one perpetuating stereotypes and simmering tensions.

We’re being spoon-fed a dichotomy where grievances against white folks receive standing ovations, yet any attempt by white individuals to discuss perceptions of reverse racism gets them cast off as villainous caricatures. It’s the oldest trick in the book—divide and conquer. Pit everyone against each other with a spoonful of guilt and a sprinkle of indignation, and voila! A recipe for social mayhem that tastes remarkably like textbook cultural Marxism with a side of ideological theatrics.

So, fellow humans who identify as folks and dare to dream beyond race, roll your eyes at the silliness, have a chuckle at our modern absurdities, and for goodness’ sake, don’t forget to offer up a sarcastic toast next time you’re caught being the comedic scapegoat of social progress. After all, if life’s a stage, the least one can do is perform with flair and, naturally, a healthy dose of humor.
