Jesse Watters Demands Answers as Chaos Unfolds

In the great saga of American politics, it seems that the Democratic Party is weaving a story only a fiction writer could dream up. Picture this: law enforcement officers politely rubbing shoulders with suspects at their local convenience store because, heaven forbid, they aren’t allowed to chase them anymore. They might as well start hosting coffee chats at the Slurpee machine to bond with suspects over their latest heist. It’s baffling to think of how police are supposed to handle crime these days when the rulebook seems more like a comedy script than a plan of action.

Then there’s the uproar surrounding Democratic donors and operatives, a spectacle unto itself. These so-called champions of justice, lounging in their plush Manhattan apartments, are so tangled up in a web of political correctness that they are essentially hiring based on what might fill a diversity quota rather than competence. Apparently, actually taking experience into account is so last decade. Now the trend is to dismiss applicants based on their skin color, proving once more that today’s political theater doesn’t have to make sense—it just needs a social justice headline.

Let’s chat about the election circus, too. The looming midterms are already looking like the opening acts of a drama you’d find on reality TV. With voter fraud poking its mischievous head out from behind the curtain, places like New Jersey are making headlines not for making strides in democracy, but for mistakenly allowing thousands of non-citizens to vote. Of course, the governor blames the software. Blame the machines, he says, because accountability was so last century. Meanwhile, no one seems to pay attention until it hits the fan — and only then does the urgency to “fix the rolls” kick in.

Things seem to only get stickier with California’s latest Medicaid debacle. Fraudulent medical supply companies sprout like weeds, selling the promise of healthcare equipment to ghosts just to bill Uncle Sam. Who knew you could run a lucrative business from the back of your closet selling wheelchairs that don’t exist to patients who do? No wonder taxpayers are feeling like they might as well toss their wallets into the air and let the wind take them. It’s a new twist in the never-ending saga of funding vultures dressing up as businessmen.

On top of all this, the looming voter ID debate allows one to question why something so universally desired in polls remains unresolved. Everyone seems to agree: showing ID to vote is simple common sense. Even so, the powers that be continue to misunderstand the “who” in “who should vote.” As the midterms approach, here’s hoping voters check more than just a box and make sure that box gets checked legally. Because, in this political saga, not even Sherlock himself could unravel the mysteries brewing behind those curtains.
